Frequently Asked Questions about Cut On Your Bias

What is Cut On Your Bias?We partner with fashion and home designers to allow you to vote on design decisions before styles are made. The styles that get the most votes are then made available for purchase.

Does Cut On Your Bias allow me to custom design and order styles?Not exactly. Unlike a true custom site where you can select from design choices to create your own style (a custom dress shirt for example), we do not make available for purchase all the options presented. Only the combination that receives the most votes will be made available for purchase.

Does Cut On Your Bias have an authenticity guarantee?We guarantee the authenticity of all styles sold, and we receive and develop every item directly and exclusively from the brands and designers.
Design

How does the "Design" process work?On a rotating cycle of every 1-2 weeks we highlight new designer(s) who provide options such as fabric, color and silhouette. From these options you can create your favorite combination and hit “Vote” to show that this is what you feel the best combination is. Each user can vote on one combination per style. The countdown clock on the Design page shows how much longer these styles are available to be voted on.

What happens after the votes are tabulated?When the winning combinations have been tallied, we send out an email blast to everyone who is a registered member of the site. The winning combinations will be made available for pre-order.

What if the combination I voted for is the winner?If you voted for the winning combination, then you will receive a discount toward the purchase of that style. This discount is not transferrable to other members of the site, and this discount only applies to that particular style.

Is only the first place winning combination made available for purchase?For the time being, yes, we are making available the combination from the option presented that receives the most votes. In the future, we hope to offer the second-place and third-place winners as well.

If I vote do I have to purchase? And conversely, can I purchase if I didn’t
vote?You can vote without any commitment to purchase, and you can purchase without having voted. -
How long will the items be available for purchase?The items will be available for purchase until they sell out. Since we offer limited-edition quantities, items may sell out fast.

What if an item is Sold Out? Is it gone forever?If an item appears as SOLD OUT, it means that it is no longer available for purchase, but you can request to be added to be added to our wait list.

How does the Wait List work?If a style is Sold Out, you can add it to your wait list, and we will notify you via email if it becomes available for purchase again. There is no commitment to purchase the item placed on your wait list.

Where do I send questions about my order?You can reach us at orders@cutonyourbias.com. We will do our best to respond to your question in 24 hours.

Can an order be modified after it has been placed?You can modify your order within 60 minutes of your purchase by contacting orders@cutonyourbias.com.
Delivery

How long will it take for purchased items to be delivered?Since all items on the site are being designed with customer input, we go into production once enough orders have been placed for that style. Each designer, product and style differs, but we seek to be able to deliver finished items to your door in 8 weeks or less for fashion and accessories and in 12 weeks or less for home.

Where do you ship?We can ship almost anywhere in the world. For orders outside the US, you will be prompted on check out to contact us at orders@cutonyourbias.com. Please note that all duties, taxes, tariffs, etc are the responsibility of the customer and returns cannot be accepted for international orders.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?While we want to service all our customers, we are unable at this time to send orders to PO Boxes.
Shipping Fees

What are the shipping fees?Shipping fees vary by item and are clearly marked on checkout.

Do I have to pay for shipping on returned items?No. You can reach us at orders@cutonyourbias.com to help process your return and to send you a return-shipping label.

What are the payment options?Cut On Your Bias accepts payments from Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Return Policy

What is the Return Policy?Customers based in the United States have 14 days to return merchandise for any reason from the date they receive it. We will pay for the return shipping. Items must be unworn, unwashed and unused with all original packaging. Items such as undergarments, swimsuits and certain household items cannot be returned. Certain household items are non-returnable.
If your item is returnable, please note: Items arriving after the 14-day return policy will not be accepted and will be returned to sender.
Our customer service team must receive and approve your return request. Once your request is received and approved, we will issue a return authorization number and a UPS packing label for you to use.
Our goal is to process all returned goods within one (1) week of receipt. Our return address is:

If your order arrives damaged, please email customerservice@cutonyourbias.com within 48 hours of receiving the item with a photo of the damage.
If you believe you received an item in error, please email customerservice@cutonyourbias.com so that we can work to remedy the situation. Please include a photo image, and keep all original packaging. All returns must occur within 14 days of delivery.

What is My Bias?My Bias is a profile page where you can express your personal style and share your designs with others. If you wish to delete your designs so that others cannot see them, make sure you click on “x” next to the collection you’ve created to delete it from public view.

Who can see My Bias page?These are public pages, so anyone online can see the My Bias page, even non-members of Cut On Your Bias.

How will I know about new designer collaborations?Cut On Your Bias members receive email newsletters informing them of such news. Registered users are automatically subscribed to our newsletter; unregistered users may choose to subscribe to our newsletter by entering their email on the bottom of any page in the box that says, “subscribe to our newsletter”.
